The webinar was hosted by two of our auditors, Phil Thomas and Damian Chester.
Phil: Has been conducting audits for the UK Metrology Board since July 2023. He has more than 40 years of experience in working with businesses, having previously worked in the Trading Standards profession as head of service for one of the largest local authorities in the UK.
Since leaving Trading Standards in 2012, Phil has focused on auditing, ensuring businesses all across the world are compliant with the legal metrology rules for the market they operate in.
Damian: Is the lead weights and measures officer for Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Rutland Council. He has a BSI certification as a lead auditor for ISO 9001 Quality Management.
Damian also sits on the Local Authority Sports Ground Advisory Group and conducts inspections on sports grounds and public events, ensuring the safety of c. 500k spectators a year.
Phil and Damian are both well-versed in helping businesses understand what they need to do to achieve the correct certifications. Ensuring all your audits come with an implied level of advice and guidance to ensure you achieve the highest level of compliance, both now and in the future.
